Prenatal Medicine and Diagnosis Research in feto-maternal medicine. Main topics: 1) The role of ultrasonographic measure of cervical length in expectantly managed prolonged pregnancy: prediction of onset of labor and mode of delivery. 2) Ultrasonographic measurement of thymus size in IUGR fetuses as a marker of the fetal immunoendocrine response to malnutrition. 3) Evaluation of cardiovascular modifications in preeclamptic patients. 4) CDT as a biochemical marker of main obsterical syndromes in complicated pregnancies. 5) Ultrasonographic biometry of the placenta as a predictor of obstetric outcome.
