Short description of contents:
Electrical storm (ES) is a matter of concern for clinicians because of its associated high mortality and few therapeutic options. Stellate ganglion blockade is demonstrating to be a safe and effective treatment, allowing management of arrhythmias in the acute phase. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS CoV-2) infection can be associated with ventricular arrhythmias and can represent a trigger for electrical storm, especially in predisposed substrates. It stimulates sympathetic activity, which can be arrhythmogenic. In this context, stellate ganglion blockade could be an optimal therapeutic tool because of its ability to inhibit cardiac sympathetic activity.
